HOW DO YOU MAKE A GREAT KING CAKE?

First you need to start with the best ingredients. We use only the best flour, milk, eggs, oil and carefully mix them together. The result of these an other quality ingredients is a delicate danish dough. Chef

Our chefs individually form this special dough into king cake braids. The braids are then allowed to rest and rise in our special cooler built for this process. After the dough has risen, and at the most optimal time, our chefs bake the king cake braids. This is done in our state-of-the-art ovens custom built for us. The braids are baked to a golden brown and then allowed to cool.

At just the right temperature, our special white icing is applied. The brightly colored sugar is then added to the top of each cake. If the cake is to be filled, the cakes are moved to the filling area. Cakes are filled with either Apple, Strawberry or Cream Cheese. The luckiest King Cakes get filled with the delicious Pecan Praline Filling.

The cakes are immediately packed into special individual bags to insure freshness. The cakes are then boxed along with Mardi Gras Beads and other items. After sealing they are ready for their destiny...
